The House Rockers Band
Possessing a lineup of talented players with experience spanning more than 3 decades, The House Rockers are:
The Lineup
RonnyD
Lead/Harmony Vocals
Ronny has been singing for as long as he can remember. His great vocal range and love of harmonies was evident throughout the 80's and 90's fronting some of this town's best players and groups including Buffalo Music Hall of Famers, Ron Rocco and Rick Ryan. His next chapter was devoted to his family obligations, but in the last few years he has been honing his skills and is thrilled to be singing with The House Rockers.
John Serpe
Lead Guitar/Vocals
John is one of the newest members to THRB. Finding his way to Western New York 5 years ago John wasted no time getting immersed in the local music scene. Playing and collaborating with many musicians and groups through the years, John has landed with the House Rockers playing lead guitar and vocals. With over 30 years under his belt playing guitar, his influences are the classic rock and blues greats of the 60's and 70's.
Hal Wolf
Rhythm Guitar, Vocals
Hal started guitar lessons at 9 years old and hasn't stopped learning to this day. His inspiration comes from the great rock and blues players past and present.
Hal's long music career has taken him from garage bands in his teens to THRB today and many great people and bands in between.
His influences consist of a long list of great players, including Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Duane Allman and Albert King.
Howie Orlando
Keyboards/Vocals
Howie O. is a Buffalo-born veteran keyboard player and vocalist with 40+ years of performing in the Syracuse and Western New York regions. Currently gigging with several Buffalo area bands, encompassing a wide range of musical genres, including classic rock, top 40, modern blues, disco, "oldies", dance/funk, Motown and country! He enjoys playing rock and blues organ, piano, and a wide variety of brass, string and synth parts to help add variety to the bands' sound, while also singing lead and backing vocals!
Bandmates describe him as an "adequate player" and a "halfway decent vocalist" who shows up mostly on time, wears clean attire at gigs, and is helpful moving equipment. He is also "moderately knowledgable" doing live sound, owns plenty of gear, and even has his own vehicle...!
Currently you can see him performing with Yank the Cover, the Illusions, and now, The House Rockers Band!
Bob Kilian
Bass
When the Beatles hit the airwaves in the early 60's Bob's life ambition for the next decade was clearly chosen for him. Throughout the 60's and 70's he played guitar and bass in a number of bands with some of the best musicians in Western New York. He was influenced by bands from the British invasion, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds and The Who.
In the mid 70's Bob took a break from playing which lasted many years until his long time friend and former bandmate suggested they get together and "see what happens". This forged the beginning of The House Rockers Band.
Rick Daminski
Drums/Percussion
Know as "Ricky D", Rick is the newest member of "The Rockers". Rick started drumming late in life, once retired he pursued his love for music and playing drums passionately. Mentored by Jim Linser of "JJ Swing". Rick made up for lost time and played several events in various bands. Rick continues to play for "Yank the Cover" and "Illusions". In the past Ricky D was the drummer for "Krossfire", "Black Diamond" and his first band "Buck Whiskey". His wife Elaine and children are the best for putting up with him.
